Esteemed School Community,
Welcome to Jefferson Elementary home of the Jaguars where we encourage scholars to Dream, Believe, Achieve, and Succeed. Established in 1927, Jefferson is a magnificent campus boasting Spanish style architecture with beautiful pillars and arches. The integrity of its building has earned it merit and it is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
At Jefferson we value diversity as the cornerstone to a well rounded education. We foster a rigorous, supportive, and caring environment in which all students actively participate in their learning. We address the whole child building on the fundamental pillars of equity, social emotional well being, and academic rigor as a strong foundation to successful individuals.
Our schoolwide initiatives include AVID, PBIS, Thinking Maps, Academic Language Scripts, and Second Step. The implementation of these enable us to nurture a growth mindset in which scholars are equipped to meet all challenges and grow in all areas.
I am honored to be the principal at Jefferson Elementary and I look forward to collaboratively working with you in the advancement of your child's academic success. It is my firm belief that parents are partners in their child's education. Great things await and I am excited to see first hand what this year holds in store for our Jaguars as they Dream, Believe, Achieve, and Succeed!
